Touch event handling in JS

Web browsers on touch devices can record touch events and send them to JS for processing.
Your own JS can handle all touches on the page, or on an element.
So you can give touch events a special meaning in your website or web application.

To prevent the browser's default touch handling from overriding our touch handling, we apply this style to the body or element:

The demos below do not work on Apple touch devices.
For Apple touch devices see:

touch-action is not supported in Safari.
Instead use event.preventDefault();
